On Saturday, nine intrepid amateur cyclists rode from London to Brighton to raise money for Dimbleby Cancer Care in memory of their former colleague Graham Dunn, who sadly passed away this summer. Graham had spent the past 5 years living with cancer and accessed many of the Dimbleby Cancer Care Information and Support Services.
Travelling from as far afield as Liverpool and Cambridge, the nine cyclists, led by Peter Walters, gathered at Clapham Common early Saturday morning and we were there to see them off. As you can see from the pictures below, aided by their trusty back-up vehicle, the team made it to Brighton in one piece. Their fundraising total so far stands at just over £2,000 and next week, other colleagues who were unable to take part in the cycle challenge are organising a bake sale at the Home Office.
We are hugely grateful for their support and thank everyone for making such a great effort.
Good luck with the bake sale!
