This charity challenge is for anyone wanting raise funds for the cancer charity of their choice.
Dimbleby Cancer Care are proud to be involved in this fantastic event once again and will support you right the way through your training and on the event day.
On 8th September this year you can take part in Pedal4Cancer and cycle the 100 km from London to Cambridge. Starting at the iconic Velopark in London’s Olympic Park, you feel very much the cyclist before you’ve even set off. This route is suitable for everyone, you can take it at your own pace and enjoy the Essex countryside on to Cambridge and finish at Nuffield Health, less than 2 miles from the city centre and a mile from the train station.
Registration is now open to anyone 14 and over! This all-inclusive ride is ideal for those wanting to take part with family, friends, colleagues or solo! For more information, take a look at the website: www.pedal4cancer.bike.
If your friends and family don’t fancy cycling, they can always come and watch you over the line at Nuffield Health in Cambridge! There’s parking and every participant gets a free pass to use the facilities after the ride – including a nice hot shower!
In 2018 we saw over a hundred lycra-clad cyclists taking part and cycling this exciting route and help raise tens of thousands for numerous cancer charities. In 2019, we want to see you there too!
Registration is open for ALL charities now and you can sign up until 1st March 2019 for just £39, with a fundraising target of £175. Along with your chosen charity we have suggestions and ideas for fundraising to make the target not only achievable but beatable.
This is a fully supported event both before, and during the ride. You will receive training tips, a kit list and regular charity updates to help you prepare for this challenge. The route is clearly signposted with regular break / toilet stops every 20 miles (approx.) so that cyclists can ride at their own pace. Full support and back up is provided through the ride with Break Stop 2 hosting lunch for you! There will be a medal and glass of fizz available at the finish line. You can join our Facebook community and meet others who are signed up too!
It is not a sportive and therefore not timed or a race, instead it’s about those pedalling together and having a great time whilst fundraising for a great cause! Choose Dimbleby Cancer Care and sign up today.
