Walk50 – want to join us next year?

274_40186_1500Every summer our 50km walking challenge sees people coming from all over the country to take part in the overnight walk through London past many of the capital’s famous landmarks.

Every year the walk starts at St Thomas’ Hospital on the banks of the River Thames, and ends back at Guy’s Hospital where the charity runs its information and support services. In 2018 we introduced this options: you can choose to walk the full 5okm or a shorter but equally impressive 25km route, or to join in a fun family 12km at the start of the event.

Everyone starts at St Thomas’ Hospital at Westminster Bridge and heads west. The 12km takes everyone to Putney, and then for the 25km and 50km walkers it’s on to Hammersmith Bridge before heading back through Central London. The 25km finish line will be in Westminster in the early hours of Saturday morning. The 50km route next year will then take a new route before heading back to Guy’s Cancer Centre beneath The Shard on Saturday morning.

We will be announcing full details for the 2019 event which will take place on Friday 7th June and how to register in the next few weeks so do keep checking back or follow us on social media to keep updated.
