Walk50 – Walk with us this summer!

274_40186_1500Every summer our 50km walking challenge sees people coming from all over the country to take part in the overnight walk through London past many of the capital’s famous landmarks.

To see all the photos from last year’s event, click here or to watch a very special video of the night, click here.

The walk starts at St Thomas’ Hospital on the banks of the River Thames, and ends back at Guy’s Hospital where the charity runs its information and support services. This year you can choose to walk the full 5okm or a shorter but equally impressive 25km route, or to join in a family 12km at the start of the event.

Everyone starts at St Thomas’ Hospital at Westminster Bridge and heads west. The 12km takes everyone to Putney, and then for the 25km and 50km walkers it’s on to Hammersmith Bridge before heading back through Central London. The 25km finish line will be in Westminster in the early hours of Saturday morning. The 50km route then takes us out to Canary wharf and down to Greenwich via the Greenwich Foot tunnel, before heading back to Guy’s Cancer Centre beneath The Shard on Saturday morning.

Click here  to register for the event on 15th June 2018.
