On the evening of Friday 7th June 2019 we’ll be taking to the streets of London for our 5th Annual Walk50 event. Join walkers from the ages of 7 to 76 to take part in one of our 12km, 25km or 50km challenges.
All three challenges start on the banks of the River Thames at Westminster Bridge between 7-8pm. The Family 12km route takes you West as far as Putney. There are refreshments along the way and as the sun sets our 25km and 50km walkers continue on into the night. Crossing the river at Hammersmith Bridge you’ll then head back towards Central London, reaching the 25km finish line near Victoria in the early hours of Saturday morning. For our intrepid 50km walkers, that’s just the half way point and they’ll continue on taking in many of London famous landmarks by night, and as dawn breaks they’ll make their way towards the iconic Shard, finishing at Guy’s Cancer Centre on Saturday morning where there’ll be bacon sandwiches, hot coffee and maybe even a glass of something bubbly waiting for them.
The 25km and 50km challenges are open to those 16 years or older only. Children of any age can take part in the 12km challenge as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
