A new Cancer Centre at Guy’s: have your say

Guys and St. Thomas ‘ are already two of the best hospitals in the country – but over the next ten years they are investing in a series of building projects that will create better hospitals providing better care.

The new Cancer Centre at Guy’s is part of the 2020 vision – creating the best possible environment for patients, visitors and staff. It will allow the provision of cancer services in state-of-the-art facilities – and you can help.

Dimbleby Cancer Care have been working closely with the planning group comprising both patient and clinical representatives on the detail of the designs for the new centre with the team of appointed architects.

An exhibition of design drawings and images will be on display during December 2011 on both hospital sites and in the local area at the venues and dates listed below. Hospital staff will be on hand to answer questions and there will be a feedback form. The exhibition can be viewed as follows:

Thursday 8th – Sunday 11th December – 9.00am – 6.00pm in Atrium 1, Guy’s Hospital, Great Maze Pond SE1 9RT

Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th December – 9.00am – 5.00pm at Southwark Council, 160 Tooley Street, SE1 2QH

Thursday 15th and Friday 16th December – 9.00am – 6.00pm in Central Hall, St Thomas’ Hospital, Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7EH

You don’t need to have used the cancer or other services to comment – they want to hear views from the local community as well as staff and patients.

Your views are important and we hope that you will find the time to visit us at the exhibition.

If you aren’t able to visit the exhibition, the designs will be available for comment on the GSTT website from Thursday 8th December 2011.
